Here comes Action Item #2 – Plastic film!

Sustainable Roanoke normally collects plastic film items on behalf of North Cross School for the Trex Challenge. If your collection is getting to be too large and you can’t wait until our next event, you can drop it off at your local Food Lion, Target, or Kroger’s!

Accepted items: Grocery bags, bread bags, case overwraps, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, wood pellet bags, ziplock & other re-sealable bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt bags, cereal bags, tarps.

Not accepted: Bags made for frozen foods!

****IMPORTANT: Materials must be clean, dry and free of food residue.****

Please share these actions among your contacts. The more we get the word out, the faster we’ll heal our planet!

Thanks to everyone who participates by recycling & spreading the word, and especially to member Mim Young 🎨 for the graphics & the idea, and to Nikki del Castillo 🏋️‍♀️ for coordinating this effort for all of us!
