The Roanoke Recycling & Disposal Solutions plant doesn’t collect these items for recycling. If you put them in the bright blue bin, they will be sent to the landfill AND it will cost you extra money as a taxpayer: In addition to incurring a charge to be carted to the RDS plant, they will also incur a charge to go to the landfill!!!!
Putting them in the trash is no good either because they just contribute to the pile of waste.

IMPORTANT:
1. Make sure your cartons are empty and dry.
2. If applicable, keep straws in and caps on.
3. If you are going to use the USPS, make sure your box is less than 12”x12”x12” as larger boxes will incur a surcharge.
4. Write “CARTONS” on the front of your package.
